Hudson River Maritime Museum offers genealogical services

The Hudson River Maritime Museum in Kingston has launched a new Genealogical Research Services program, offering professional research assistance to individuals and families interested in exploring their family histories and connections to the Hudson River.

HRMM’s staff genealogist works with clients to uncover the stories of ancestors who lived beside, traveled, or worked along the Hudson River. After an initial consultation to discuss research questions and goals, the genealogist conducts research in the museum’s archives and beyond.

The results of that research are developed into a detailed research report or long-form family narrative. Depending on the project, materials may include family tree visuals, historical records, timelines, and photographs. The service is open to beginners as well as advanced researchers.

To get started, go to: HRMM.org/research and complete the Genealogy Inquiry Form to schedule a free consultation.
