As part of the Town of Rose’s Bicentennial celebration, there will be a hands-on headstone repair workshop on Sunday, August 2 at 2 p.m. at the Rose Cemetery.
Participants will learn proper techniques for cleaning, resetting, and repairing historic headstones under guidance. The exact stones worked on will depend on conditions and progress during the event. This is a unique opportunity to gain skills in historic preservation while helping to care for one of Rose’s oldest cemeteries.
