There will be several cemetery tours offered in upstate New York in the month of August.
The Saratoga Springs Preservation Foundation will present a tour of the Greenbridge Cemetery on Sunday, August 2 at 10:30 a.m.
Established in 1844 as part of the rural cemetery movement, this stroll delves into the history of the individuals of Saratoga Springs with connections to Greenridge. Designed as a peaceful, park-like landscape where art, nature, and memory converge, this tour takes you along the cemetery’s winding paths, highlighting the notable residents buried there. Cost is $15 for members and $20 for non-members.

The Saratoga County History Center will host a tour of the Dunning Street Cemetery on Wednesday, August 19 at 10 a.m.

The Fenton History Center, located in Jamestown, will be hosting a tour of Lake View Cemetery on August 29 at 10 a.m.
Learn the stories about veterans buried in Lake View Cemetery. Six veterans will be highlighted whose stories need to be heard. Participants will meet outside the Lake View Cemetery office on the corner of Buffalo Street and Lakeview Avenue at 10:00 a.m.
