Family History Library offers virtual research assistance

Would you like free assistance with your New York State genealogy research? Then check out the virtual genealogy research strategy sessions through the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.

These virtual meetings provide you with research guidance, methodology and next steps. Our of their research specialists will offer suggestions and assistance to meet your research goals to help you discover new family members. Each research session is 20 minutes and the DNA research sessions are 40 minutes. Do not book more than one session in any given week.

When you book your session, you will see the countries that are available.  Geographic regions covered are: U.S. and Canada, Europe, Latin American, Asia and Australia and New Zealand. In addition there are categories for Jewish research in the U.S., U.K. and Eastern Europe, as well as a category called Immigration and Locating the Ancestral Hometown.
