The Jewish Genealogy Society of Longs Island will present “Jewish Genealogy 101” on Sunday, Oct. 18 from 12:30-5 p.m. It is a virtual 4 hour + course that offers sources and strategies essential for Jewish genealogical research.
It is an overview for beginners and a review for family historians who want to brush up on or expand their skills. The workshop instructors will explain where and how to find the many Jewish records that exist in the United States, Europe, and Israel.
The cost is $35 for individuals which includes a one-year individual membership to the JGSLI and $40 for a family which includes a one-year family membership. Participants will receive a digital copy of the workshop manual.
