The PBS series “Finding Your Roots,” hosted by Henry Louis Gates, Jr., will return for season 12 on Jan. 6, 2026, according to various online sources.
The guests for the new season will include actors Kristin Chenoweth, America Ferrera, Darren Criss, Tracy Letts and Lizzy Caplan.
Several musicians will also be tracing their roots including: Lizzo, Wiz Khalifa, Flea and Rhiannon Giddens. Film producer Spike Lee will also appear on the show, as well as businessman Barry Diller.
