Albany:

The Archives staff will assist all researchers whether in person or by mail. By mail request, there is a $20 per hour search fee. The only charges for research on site is for paper copies of records (50¢ per page) or for written certification that the record is a copy of the original ($4.00). Columbia:

In person research is $35 for non-members. Distance research is $35 and includes 10 copies of research material. Forms are available on the website.
Greene County:

Rensselaer:

Surrogate court records up to 1915, family histories, city directories
Can submit a research request form. Research Requests include pulling up to two Surrogate Court records. If you know the numbers of the Surrogate Court Records, please include that information when making your request. Cost is $45 for members and $60 for non-members.

Saratoga:

Of particular interests to genealogists are our extensive collection of surname and vertical files. Surname files contain miscellaneous information related to surnames. Information contained in the files has been collected by SCHC staff and researchers and varies depending upon surname. Cost is $20/hour.

Schenectady:

Researchers can request a search of records to be done by sending a request through the mail. To order, send a written request detailing the information you are seeking, a self-addressed-stamped-envelope and a non-refundable $15.00 check or money order made payable to the “Warren County Treasurer”.
Washington:

Has research library with genealogical information, land records, cemetery records and yearbooks. Research can be done in person or by library staff.
