Clifton Park library to host Genealogy Day on March 8

The Clifton Park-Halfmoon Public Library and the New York State Archives will present an in-person Genealogy Day on Saturday, March 8.

10-11 am  – “How to Get Started Building Your Family Tree” –  Clifton Park Town Historian John Scherer

11 am-12 pm  – “Resources at CPH Library and Beyond” –  staff from CPH Library, Saratoga County Historian, and NY State Archives

12-2 pm – Hands-On Session with volunteer helpers

2-3 pm  – “Adding Y-DNA Testing to Your Genealogy Toolbox” – genealogist Skip Duett

3:15-4:15 pm – “Finding American Women’s Voices” – genealogist Jane Wilcox

All day there will be information tables featuring local history organizations.
