LI genealogy groups offer virtual June programs

Several genealogy groups and libraries on Long Island, all part of the Genealogy Federation of Long Island, will be having virtual meetings in June.

Thursday, June 3 – German Genealogy Group – 7:30 p.m. – “Death and Burial Practices in Word War I and World War II”

Saturday, June 12 – Italian Genealogical Group – 10:45 a.m. – “DNA Clusters – Methods and Tools to Evaluate Autosomal Matches”

Wednesday, June 16 – Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island – 7 p.m. – “Inspire and Transform Your Family by Creating a Family Legacy”

Saturday, June 19 – Irish Family History Forum – 11 a.m. – noon –  “Mining for Genealogical Gold in Federal Resources”

Sunday, June 27 – Jewish Genealogy Society of Long Island – 2 p.m. – “Genealogical Research as a Life Experience”

The Patchogue-Medford Public Library will offer free Genealogy Research Discussion Group meetings on June 2 and 16 at 10 a.m. To register, go to the library website Calendar of Events – https://pmlib.org
