New York genealogy society to offer workshop on occupations

The New York Genealogical & Biographical Society will be holding a two-day workshop on “Understanding Ancestral Occupations” on Friday and Saturday, May 15 and 16. This is an online program.

Experts will lead sessions about professions ranging from apprenticeships to blacksmithing to the performing arts. Dive into eight different professional paths and learn about available resources and how to locate and interpret key records.
