Free walking tours offered at Westchester cemetery in May

Friends of The Kensico Cemetery (Westchester County) will host upcoming walking tours in May.

There will be two historical walking tours with with Patrick Raftery: Associate Director/Librarian, Westchester County Historical Society.

Attendees will hear stories about artists, world-renowned architects, swindlers, a muckraker whose reputation cost him his life, and visit the resting place of a man who forever changed the world of sandwiches.

Tuesday, May 6, 2025  from 5:30–7 PM

Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 5:30–7 PM

There will also be a Ossipee Loop Walking Tour on Tuesday, May 13 from 5:30-7 p.m. Highlights include a baseball legend and his boss; two inventors; a movie theatre mogul; a World’s Fair mystery; a controversial circus connection, a scandalous scofflaw, a Sentimental Gentleman, a Broadway angel, and one good witch.

All tours are free but registration is required. Meet in the Administration Building parking lot, 273 Lakeview Avenue in Valhalla.  To register, go to: www.kensico.org/events
