The German Genealogy Group, based on Long Island, has started off the new year by adding more records to its databases. Records in the databases are for all ethnic groups, not just for those with a German background.
In January, over 14,000 records were added to the Manhattan 1870 birth database that were missing from the original birth index. Also in January, almost 5,000 records were added to the baptism database for St. Vincent de Paul RC Church in Brooklyn.
In February, over 22,000 records were added to the Manhattan 1872 birth database that were missing from the original birth index.
