Fairport Public Library (Monroe County) will present “New York State Census Records” on Monday, Feb. 16 at 2 p.m. New York State census records have so much information in them that other censuses are envious. Onondaga County Public Library will present “Exploring French and Acadian Family History ” on Friday, Feb. 27 at 10 a.m. This is a Zoom presentation. This program will explore key migration patterns, settlement areas, and cultural traditions associated with French and Acadian populations in North America. Attendees will be introduced to some common record types, research strategies, and contextual clues that can help place ancestors in time and place, even when language barriers or unfamiliar sources are involved.
