NY genealogy society announces 2026 program schedule

The Capital District Genealogical Society recently announced its speaker schedule for 2026.

Members can register for meetings the first of the month and non-members can register on the 16th of the month if there are still openings. Meetings take place on Saturdays beginning at 1 p.m.

April 25 – In Person – Family History Help Day at the Guilderland Public Library

May 16 – Zoom Only – “Loyal or Doubtful: Loyalism in New York During the American Revolution” – Brendon Burns

June 27 – Hybrid – “The Tax Man Cometh: Using Tax Records to Dig Up Your Ancestors” – Carol Cook Darrow

July 25 – Hybrid – “Scottish Immigration” – Scott Norrick

Aug. 22 – Annual Picnic

Sept. 26 – Zoom Only – “Investigative Genetic Genealogy” – Jay Pellitier

Oct. 24 – Hybrid – “Mapping for Genealogists” – Kimball Carter

Nov. 14 – Hybrid – “Answers to Questions You Have Always Wanted to Ask” – Panel Discussion
