German Genealogy Group updates several databases

The German Genealogy Group (GGG), based on Long Island, has updated many of its databases over the last few months.

In August, 20,521 records were added to the 1871 Manhattan births that were missing from the original index. In addition, 237 Special birth certificates were added for select years 1871-1880; 1,020 brides and 12 grooms were added to the 1869 Kings marriage database and 103 brides and 16 grooms were added to the Kings 1866-1937 marriage database.

In September, 3,331 records were added to the Manhattan Births database ( “A” certificates) that were missing from the original index.

In November, 110 bride and 19 groom records were added for Kings County for various years and 1,180 bride and 427 groom records were added to 1869 Kings County brides and grooms database.

In the Fall 2025 issue of “New York Researcher,” published by the New York Genealogical & Biographical Society, there is an article that lists all the Diocese of Brooklyn parish records that are now available on the GGG website.
