New York genealogy society to host series of free webinars

The New York Genealogical & Biographical Society will host a series of free programs the week of Nov. 3 – 7, 2026. Many programs will be available both in-person and online.

Monday, Nov. 3 – New to New York Family History? How to Get Started – 12 p.m. and No OMPF? No Problem. – 6 p.m. (Zoom only)

Tuesday, Nov. 4 – Researching U.S. Veterans of the Great War – 12 p.m.

Wednesday, Nov. 5  – New NYG & B Resources to Drive Your Research – 12 p.m.

Thursday, Nov. 6 – An Introduction to Using American Fraternal Records in Genealogical Research – 6 p.m. (Zoom only)

Friday, Nov. 7  – Preservation Day: Stop by the society for a 30 minute session to digitally preserve your own records
