The Northern New York American-Canadian Genealogical Society will host a conference on Saturday, Oct 25 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 40 Emmons Street in Dannemora.
There will be two presentations in the morning on “Genealogy Explorations of Old Newspapers” and “Pathway to America250.”
In the afternoon, there will be a talk on “Clinton County Revolutionary War Patriots.” This presentation will include a discussion on a book of Clinton County’s Revolutionary War Veterans prepared and published by the Saranac Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The book lists the names, service records, and other (cemetery locations and spouses) information available for 294 Revolutionary War Patriots who had lived in Clinton County.
Also in the afternnon there will be a guided tour of the Village of Dannemora Museum located next to the NNYACGS library. The museum contains information and artifacts from the local history, history of Clinton Correctional Facility, and more.
