The Friends of Concordia Cemetery, located in Buffalo, will be presenting “The World of Secret Societies at Concordia Cemetery” on Saturday Sept. 20 at 10 a.m. at Concordia Cemetery, 438 Walden Avenue.
Learn about the truths and myths behind some of the world’s fascinating and misunderstood societies. What makes a society “secret”? Why did they form? And what impact have they had on history and community life?
Members of the Freemasons will talk about their organization. Other societies, such as the International Order of Odd Fellows, and fraternal groups that were a part of Western New York history will be discussed.
