Buffalo cemetery events to take place in May

There will be several Buffalo cemetery events coming up in May.

The Forest Lawn Cemetery will be presenting a free event, “Spirits of the Erie Canal,” on Friday, May 23 at 6 p.m. at The Ruins at Canalside, not the cemetery.

Come watch as several permanent residents of Forest Lawn Cemetery visit their old stomping grounds to see what has changed along the Erie Canal since its founding 200 years ago. They will share their personal stories and interact with onlookers as they reminisce about the extraordinary feat of engineering that helped shape the history of Buffalo, and the nation.
