New York Public Library branch to offer genealogy programs

The Baychester Library branch of the New York Public Library, located in the Bronx, will be offering two genealogy programs a month at the library.

In May, programs will take place on Thursday, May 4, 2023, 1 – 2 PM and Thursday, May 18, 2023, 1 – 2 PM.

The New York Public Library has a great deal of resources available to its users that assist in the study of genealogy and Baychester will now be hosting a class twice monthly to show its patrons how to utilize them.

The first class of the month will go over how to access and use databases, where one can find the necessary resources, etc. The second class will be less of a lecture and instead will function as an open lab where patrons can conduct their genealogical research with assistance from the teacher.
