Rochester library to host a series of genealogy programs

The Central Library of Rochester and Monroe County will present “Heritage Tales: A Monthly Genealogy Program” in person at the Local History and Genealogy Division in the Rundel Memorial Building beginning Wednesday, April 20 at 6 p.m.

The April presenter will be Ernest Green, a local activist who was always curious about who his father was and where he had family out there. With only a phonetic spelling of his father’s name to guide him, Green started his 10-year genealogy journey to find his father and siblings.

Pick up pro tips from our featured monthly presenter and learn more about the resources that can help you uncover your own family’s stories. Other program dates are May 18 and June 15.
