New York genealogy society presents free webinars in October

The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society will present two free webinars in October.

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, the society will present “Getting Your ACGT Together: Organizational Strategies for DNA Analysis” at 7 p.m. The presenter will be Paul Woodbury.

DNA test results are constantly changing and trying to organize them can feel like aiming at a moving target. Learn how to organize your results around clear research objectives in order to isolate, prioritize, analyze and correlate the data most pertinent to your research.

On Thursday, October 28, 2021, the society will present “Researching in Northern Ireland: Looking High and Low” at 4 p.m. The presenter will be Fiona Fitzsimons.

This webinar is intended as a guide to help visitors prepare the groundwork for research in Northern Ireland. Learn about the main archives and lesser-known repositories and ask what evidence survives in your ancestor’s country of birth.
