Free genealogy webinars offered by New York Public Library

Two free virtual genealogy webinars will be offered by The New York Public Library in May.

On Wednesday, May 11 the library will present “Newspapers in Genealogy Research” at 1 p.m. Discover the  abundant uses of historical newspapers for genealogical and local history information in the numerous digital collections available at NYPL.

On  Wednesday, May 25 the library will present “Getting Started in Genealogy Research” at 2 p.m. Experienced librarians demonstrate the steps involved in starting your family history research. Discover essential research methods and strategies, identify relevant records and how to locate them, and organize your family research information.
